Yea I'm sorry but stay home. Why SQUEEZE yourself onto a trip knowing you're gonna limit someone else's experience? I will say it's different if you're the one doing the planning on a low budget tho. At least everyone knows what they're getting themselves into.

I get both sides. If this was already being planned as a group and all of a sudden they decide to exclude you because you can't afford the 5 star hotel they wanna book , i think that sucks. Now if it was clear from the beginning that the trip was gonna be expensive af and you're broke af, of course it makes sense - unless a friend invited to cover for you.

if a friend can't afford an excursion, i agree that you should respectfully leave them at home.

but the key word is RESPECTFULLY. if they're a true "friend' there's no need to be a rude ass faggot about it.

But sometimes there are things that u will wanna do as a group, restaurants u wanna go to,  hotels u wanna stay at, etc.  At the point that ur staying in a different hotel,  not participating in excursions,  and eating at mickey Ds while we out 5 starring it.....

that's the thing. it comes down to how much you really wanna spend TIME with certain people. if you planning this big group excursion and your CORE people/person can't afford it, what's the point? just take a solo mess and book something less expensive with the people you're aiming to spend time with.

I've done this before and never again.

I can't travel with a broke and/or cheap bitch, like Bow said, it's very limiting and it makes me resentful of that person tbh. Stay home in your struggle.

Honestly ppl already usually know who their broke friends are anyway so if you invite them you should already know they're not gonna be able to participate in super expensive things unless you're willing to help pay their way in

It's not elitist, it's actually quite selfish on that individual's part. If you gotta be on a tight budget for the vacation, then it just seems like you don't need to go. Why take away from everybody else's experience because you can't afford to do things? A vacation is a luxury, not a necessity. You don't have to go...

If they want to go I can't stop them from buying a plane ticket and traveling to the same place. If we're really friends then either Im gonna help them pay for whatever extras they can't afford or Im gonna let them do them while the rest of us enjoy ourselves separately

That's why I stopped doing group trips unless it's with my aunties and uncles. People bring negative vibes when they don't have the appropriate funds. I mean just stank, walking into the airport at 6am. I'm not even the type to ball out on vacation but I'm also not robbing Peter to pay Paul.
