it depends... Mainly between if the gift is already paid for or if you're continuously making payments.

Furthermore, it's different if you're a celeb/worth millions, but I don't genuinely get that from these men (no shade). Why are yall buying "girlfriends" cars and condos? They're probably just talking.

But to play along with them, if the gift is already paid off or paid for, it's the girlfriend's. You can't just decide to take a gift back cuz a relationship didn't work out. YOU made that decision to buy the expensive gift at that moment and now it's done. Now if it's something they're still currently paying for (rent, car payments, etc.), they're entitled to get that back or stop making payments. It can't be expected that someone is going to continue taking care of you after y'all have broken up.
